A whole new world opened up for me when I found this easy transfer method. I need to give credit to Kammy’s Korner who taught me how to do this.
All you need is freezer paper (or wax paper) and an inkjet printer. You can find free graphics on thegraphicsfairy.com.
- You must always use an inkjet printer. This method will not work with a laser printer.
- Print on the waxy side of the freezer or wax paper. I have found that freezer paper works best.
- Once you have your graphic printed, lay it printer side down on your project. Rub on the back side pf the paper until you transfer your project. The back of a spoon works great
- It is best to coat your project with several coats of clear polyurethane. Make sure each coat is completely dry before adding the next coat.
TIP: To get a clean print when printing on freezer or wax paper, cut the paper to 8 1/2 x 11 inches. Use regular copy paper to help the freezer paper go through the printer without jamming. Iron the top edges of both papers together to seal. Feed this end into your printer first.
Give this a try and let me know how it goes.
